Silence…...

I want to use this blog to allow God to speak to you through his word. There are so many words, opinions, arguments and distractions on social media, I want to use this time to still the loud voices in society and listen to the whisper. I love how God speaks in the whisper as it implies that He is close. He is God with us, Emmanuel. There is a gentleness and calmness to a whisper, it isn’t in your face like all the other voices in society.

I have collected a few verses that God has been speaking to me over the past few months. I have found that when God constantly reminds me of these verses, the words become internalised. I pray today that as you read these Bible verses that you will meditate on them. I ask that these external words will become an internal reality living inside you.

Psalm 22:3 Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you

Song of Solomon 4:7 You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.

Psalm 2:8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.

Joel 2:12-13 Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and rend your hearts and not your garments.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster.

Revelation 1:14–15 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters.

Psalm 89:14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.

Isaiah 53:6-7 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth, like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.

Jeremiah 2:13 for my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Job 28:28 And he said to man, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”

Ephesians 2:5-6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus
